T E C H I E S
All this character reveal has done is reasserted the fact that the Smash Bros fandom is completely awful.
Thank you tumblr for suggesting a post of something I have blacklisted.
This is such a useful feature and not annoying at all.
The Mata Mata Turtle
Found mostly in South America. Its shell resembles bark, and its head resembles fallen leaves, making it an expernt at camouflage. It is also an expert at looking like my nightmares.
Real video game talk for a minute.
I wasn’t looking forward to any game coming out this year before E3(I was looking forward to seeing how a few of them played e.g. Hyrule Warriors, but I wasn’t HYPED… at least as much as I am now), I keep a list around that I update constantly when I see something that seems interesting and that it might be up my alley.
Before E3 it had Hyrule Warriors on it and that was it.
Now, after E3, it has over 15 on it.
Why? Nintendo Treehouse, and Nintendo in general.
They managed to remind me that video games are fun to look at, they’re great with friends, and that they’re fun to play.
I had a really passing interest in Smash Bros, I thought the only reason I’d even pick up Smash 3DS is to play with friends, but now I’m genuinely looking forward to it.
The gameplay looks super fun, the smash invitational showed off how competitive it can be, but Treehouse showed off how much fun it is to play with friends.
Treehouse was absolutely the main thing for me, it showed off actual people playing the games, not some pre scripted action like most games have had for the past few years. My only issue is the lack of schedule, you just had to show up to the stream and hope.
But the Treehouse stream itself was a lot of fun to watch, I enjoyed myself so much, I’ve remembered why I love video games so much.
So thank you Nintendo for rekindling my childish love of games, I’ll be sure to buy a Wii U soon.
Nintendo are my favourite company.
They focus on fun instead of hype and let the fans build the hype themselves.
It’s the best.
